Electroencephalography (EEG)
EEG is a functional, non-invasive brain test that records the brain’s bioelectrical activity using electrodes. During the exam, electrodes are attached bilaterally to areas like the temporal, frontal, parietal, and central regions. The aim is to detect pathological brain abnormalities.
EEG is indispensable for epilepsy diagnostics. It identifies epileptogenic zones and shows whether seizure activity is focal or generalized. EEG is safe and has no contraindications.
